Miscreants slip through Taiwan's borders

It's now been revealed that several people slipped through Taiwan's immigration system whilst its computer systems were offline. (Fragile Technology 6 Jan)

The NIA director-general Hsieh Li-Kung apologized Saturday, saying that five people who were barred from leaving the country for reasons such as tax evasion successfully left Taiwan while three people who were supposed to be denied entry got in.
