Xmas gift glitch

Some property owners in Minot, Dakota may have thought their local county was giving them an Xmas present. Sorry, turned out it was a glitch and the country has to play grinch and rescind the gift.

A computer glitch in new software in the Ward County Auditor's Office resulted in a number of property-tax statements that failed to include the special assessments due. The error affected fewer than 565 statements of the 34,000 statements mailed by the office Friday to Minot property owners.
