Residents of City of Cornelia, Georgia, must have thought they were dreaming when they received their annual tax notices - with just one day to pay. The notices were mailed on December 19, with a due date of December 20. Officials blame the contractor, of course.
An error by the City of Cornelia's software company has led to a lot of upset taxpayers calling city hall.
The actual due date is in February. Officials think the software company mixed up the due date with a neighbouring city, whose taxes ARE due on December 20.
